Frank W. Kelley, Board Chair: Mr. Frank Kelley is a highly accomplished business professional and administrator who has an extensive knowledge in English literature and composition. Mr. Kelley was the Chief Operating Officer of a multi-million dollar international firm in Houston, Texas, and Baku, Azerbaijan, providing translation services to oil/gas, engineering, legal, and medical clients. He has worked on international study, business, and educational program development in the Azerbaijan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Angola, Sweden, and England. He is currently the Assistant Dean at the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston (UH). He has provided service on the University Advising Committee, the Reaccreditation Committee and the BBA Curriculum Review Committee and Strategic Planning Committee at UH. He has also received the Melcher Faculty Excellence Award (1993), Magner Award (1994), UH Staff Excellence Award (1995), CBA Outstanding Staff Member (1997) and the Dean’s Excellence Award (2006). Besides being the Board Chair of VN TeamWork (VNTW), Mr. Kelley is a member of the Houston World Affairs Council and the Asia Society. He has done postgraduate study in English literature/composition at UH, received a Master of Arts in English Literature at McNeese State University, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at McNeese State University, a Master of Theology in Semitic Languages at Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in English at West Texas State University.
 
Cindy Nguyen, LUTCF, Board Vice-Chair: Ms. Cindy Nguyen is a financial professional and has assisted many clients in financial planning for retirement, education funding, health insurance, disability insurance, and life insurance funding. She has set up seminars to educate the public on financial planning. She is currently employed by AXA Advisors in Houston, TX. As the Board Vice-Chair of VNTW, she has volunteered for many fundraising events. Ms. Nguyen is also active as a Board Member on many community organizations including the Vietnamese American Voter’s Network (VAVN) Board, the Asian Pacific American Heritage Association (APAHA) Board, the Mayor’s International Board, the Vietnamese Community Board, and the VPS (Vietnamese Professionals Society) Board. Ms. Nguyen graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
 
Ngoc-Tan Trinh, Board Treasurer: Ms. Ngoc-Tan Trinh has a strong background in Business Management and Media, and is a very well known media personality in Houston, since she has been a Radio Anchor for Radio Saigon Houston 900 AM for many years. She has been a talk show host, reporter for events, evening news anchor, public relations coordinator and a bilingual translator. She has excellent communication skills and is very enthusiastic and motivated in her work. She has volunteered at VNTW for many years and has helped to promote the VNTW programs and services to the community through the radio broadcasts. She graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Arts in Management, has attended courses at Rice University in Understanding Market Indicators, and has studied Community Media & TV News Reporting from the Media Justice, VATV.
 
Cathy Pham, R.N., Board Secretary: Ms. Cathy Pham is a dedicated and experienced health care professional who has continued to give back to the community for many years. She has volunteered her time at VNTW to serve clients are low-income and underserved for the monthly health screenings, vaccinations, health education, and referrals since 1997. She also teaches CPR & First Aid training classes every month at VNTW. In addition to her volunteer work at VNTW, she also hosts monthly local radio shows on health care issues. Ms. Pham is currently the Administrator and Director of Nursing for Cathy Home Care, Ltd. which provides home health care services for seniors. Besides being the Board Secretary of VNTW, she also participates in health care events for local churches, temples, doctor’s offices, and senior facilities. Ms. Pham earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and became a Registered Nurse at Texas Woman’s University.
 
Nina Nguyen, R.Ph., Director: Ms. Nina Nguyen is a dedicated health care professional as well as a committed business professional. She has volunteered her time at VNTW for health care and fundraising events since 1996. She is also known as a community activist and hosts monthly radio talk shows on community issues. She is currently working as both the Chief Pharmacist of Kim Long Pharmacy and a Real Estate Broker for America Investment Group. She attended the UCI/ Irvine-California for the Pharmacy Reviewing Courses to obtain the Pharmacist license, Houston Community College for the Real Estate Broker license, San Jacinto College for the Real Estate license, and she graduated from the University of Saigon, School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science with honors as a Registered Pharmacist.
 
Duong Pham: Mr. Duong Pham is currently employed by the Houston Community College as an Instructional Technical Support for Coleman College's computer center. He ensures that the servers and workstations are in good working condition and ready for the students to access at any time. In 2003, he joined the Hoa Lu group, a nonprofit organization that provided complementary services to the Vietnamese community in Houston, where he was an Instructor for computer classes (basic, intermediate and advance). In 2005, he joined as a volunteer for VN Teamwork's VITA Program which provides free income tax preparation services for low-income taxpayers, and became a VITA Site Manager in 2008. He manages the volunteers at his site location and works with the other Site Managers to improve the quality of services for the VITA program. 
 
Mary Southwick, MSW: Ms. Mary Southwick is currently a Texas SMP Project Coordinator with the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation. She coordinates projects related to the Texas SMP/Senior Medicare Patrol team, which is composed of volunteers who are trained to educate and inform Medicare beneficiaries on how to combat waste and fraud of their Medicare dollars. Through presentations and one-on-one counseling, the Senior Medicare Patrol volunteers assist beneficiaries to recognize fraud and how important it is to report the misuse of funds. Ms. Southwick holds a Master of Social Work degree.
