American Bar Association - ABA PRO BONO PUBLICO AWAWRD

Ms. Lan Nguyen, Esq. is the Recipient of the 2010 ABA Pro Bono Publico Award. She has been a driving force of the Houston Bar Association's outreach to the Asian American community and a committed volunteer through its Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP). She donates hundreds of hours as a pro bono attorney each year. VN TeamWork works with pro bono attorneys like Ms. Lan Nguyen through HVLP, which helps to provide free legal clinics for the Vietnamese community.

Wills and Legal Assistance

VAN-T V Ch. 55.2 – Vietnamese TV Talk Show with host Pha Le- Guests include Mr. Michael Nguyen, Executive Director of VN TeamWork (VNTW) and Mr. Vinh Ho, Attorney at Boat People SOS.  Mr. Nguyen discusses the importance of having a Will. Mr. Ho discusses the different legal aspects included in a Wills package, such as Medical Power of Attorney and Estate Planning. VNTW provides free monthly legal clinics and Will-a-Thons every few months in partnership with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP).
